CCC, Safran win contract to repair U.S. Navy aircraft

CCC announced it was awarded a contract to provide repairs to the landing gear of V-22 Osprey aircraft operated by the U.S. Navy. The repairs will be conducted by CCC’s supplier: Safran Electronics & Defense Canada (Safran).

Headquartered in Peterborough, Ont., Safran designs, develops, produces, and maintains engine control units, blade defrosters, steering control systems as well as landing gear and brake control systems for North American aircraft and engine manufacturers.

In addition to holding the Gold UTC Aerospace Systems Supplier and Silver Boeing status, Safran can satisfy all aerospace and defense product certification and qualification requirements – allowing it to offer a variety of product, maintenance and repair solutions to armies, air forces and navies around the world.

To date, CCC and Safran have collaborated on contracts with the U.S. military worth close to $70 million.

CCC is the designated contracting authority for purchases by the U.S. DoD from Canada worth US$250,000 or more. Through its U.S. DoD Prime Contractor service, CCC partners with Canadian businesses like Safran to supply the U.S. DoD with made in Canada solutions.
