Discovery Air Technical Services Inc. (DATS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air, is pleased to announce it has received its Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) Certificate from Transport Canada for the ATR42 and ATR72 series 600 of aircraft. Liat (1974) Ltd. (Liat) has also signed a three year exclusive agreement with DATS for their entire fleet. The first aircraft is set to arrive in May 2015.  Work will be carried-out at DATS’ Heavy Maintenance facility at the Jean Lesage International Airport in Quebec City in the coming months.
“DATS is pleased to sign this exclusive agreement with Liat and to be one of the first MROs in North America to be certified on the ATR42/ATR72 600 series.  This is an important milestone for DATS and for our customers who are adding more ATRs to their fleet. We are extremely pleased to be able to support Liat and count them as one of our long term customers,” said JP Bastien, DATS president.
