Gathering of the Classics is the 32nd fly-in/drive-in focused on Vintage and near Vintage vehicles. Nationally recognised as Canada’s largest “fly-in / drive-in” event, it is hosted by the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation (ECAF) located at Edenvale
Aerodrome east of Stayner in Simcoe County. New for this year, ECAF is working in partnership with the Wasaga Beach Cruisers.
The ‘Gathering’ is a one day fly-in and drive-in event celebrating vintage aircraft and cars. We normally host 5000 attendees, over 100 aircraft of all types and over 300 classic cars plus motorcycles.
Within the aerodrome we will have aircraft and car display areas, aircraft rides, food vendors, displays and childrens’ activities.
Additionaly the AVRO Arrow replica will be displayed as part of the Canadian Air and Space Conservancy. All of these activities are set up close to the aircraft and car action. The Gathering is a rare opportunity to get up close to aircraft and talk to pilots/drivers/owners.
ECAF is a not for profit organisation dedicated to preserving and presenting Edenvale Aerodrome’s and Canada’s aviation history. ECAF has 30 volunteer members, 2 WWII era RCAF trainers in flying condition, aviation artifacts including restored aircraft engines and an extensive model aircraft display. ECAF is recognised by Simcoe County and Clearview Township as a Tourist attraction and the Gathering is a Signature Event.
