February flight activity up 6.9 per cent over 2015

ARGUS TRAQPak data is serial-number specific aircraft arrival and departure information on all IFR flights in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada. 
The business aircraft activity data for Feb. 1-29, 2016 vs. Jan. 1-31, 2016 and Feb. 1-29, 2016 vs. Feb. 1-28, 2015 respectively.
 
February business aviation flight activity posted its normal month over month seasonal decline, down a marginal 0.5 per cent from January. Results by operational category were mixed for the month, with Part 91 and fractional operators finishing the period up 0.5 per cent and 1.3 per cent respectively from January. 
 
Reviewing year over year flight activity (February 2016 vs. February 2015); TRAQPak data indicates that February 2016 posted an increase of 6.9 per cent, marking the 12th straight year over year increase. 
The additional day due to leap year helped bolster February’s year over year increase.
