FlightSafety International names Andy Parrish manager, San Antonio Learning Center

FlightSafety International has announced that Andy Parrish has been named manager of the company’s Learning Center in San Antonio, Texas. He succeeds Gil Viera who has relocated to FlightSafety’s Orlando Center to become a program manager. 
“Andy’s training expertise and experience, and in-depth understanding of customer needs, made him the ideal choice for manager of the San Antonio Center,” said Daniel MacLellan, vice president, operations.  
“We thank Gil Viera for his leadership in San Antonio and look forward to his contributions as a program manager in Orlando. We are confident that Andy will continue the excellent work done by Gil and that our customers will appreciate and benefit from his leadership and commitment to excellence.”
Parrish started his aviation training career in 1989. He worked as a Gulfstream GIII instructor, standards instructor, airmanship manager, and regional sales manager. During this time he served on the airline Advanced Qualification Program committee, the Northeastern Corporate Aviation Safety Roundtable, and various CRM committees. 
He first joined FlightSafety in 1995 as a product marketing manager at the Savannah Learning Center. In 2000 he became assistant center manager and served in that role until 2004. Prior to returning to FlightSafety, Parrish was vice president of sales and operations for a company that supported commercial airlines around the world.
Parrish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.  
The San Antonio Learning Center offers training using nine FlightSafety built simulators and features classrooms equipped with the MATRIX integration training system. Training is available on the Cessna Citation Bravo, Citation Jet, Citation II, Citation SII, Citation III, Citation Excel and Citation CJI aircraft. The Center also offers training on the Metro/Merlin SA227 and Metro 23/C-26 aircraft.
