Nomination deadline closes next week for AIAC award for aerospace achievement

The James C. Floyd Award, which is presented annually by the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC), recognizes outstanding contribution to the aerospace industry by an individual or team. Nominations are being accepted until Oct. 23, 2015.
Sponsored by Pratt & Whitney Canada, this award is designed to acknowledge an individual or team that has had a significant impact on the development and success of the aeronautics or space industry within the past five years. 
Their contribution may be a technological, political, entrepreneurial, research-based, policy-based or student accomplishment, of which the significance and impact warrants an exceptional level of recognition. Previous winners include: 
  • Wagdi Habashi (2010)
  • Maurice Guitton (2011)
  • Hany Moustapha (2012)
  • Marinvent Corporation (2013)
  • Ronald Holdway and Dave Caddey (2014)
All AIAC members are invited to nominate an individual or group that has done outstanding work within the past five years. The AIAC’s panel of judges will select a winner and honour the recipient at the Annual Canadian Aerospace Dinner, taking place during the 2015 Canadian Aerospace Summit in Ottawa on Nov. 17.
