The Unmanned Aerial System Center of Excellence welcomes two new members

The Unmanned Aerial System Centre of Excellence (UAS CE) (Quebec) management team is very pleased to welcome two new members amongst the organization. Welcome to Hovercam-media and UAV technology, two private companies specializing in aerial unmanned aerial system imaging.

Hovercam-media
Based in Saint-Felicien Que., Hovercam-media is a company created in 2013 offering mapping and multi-media services. Hovercam-media provides solutions in various fields such as agriculture, forestry, public safety, surveillance and environmental management. The president of the company, Patrice Savard, commented the news: “The development of Hovercam-media is based on a vision of partnership. We intend to capture the market by focusing on strategic alliances, and the Unmanned Aerial System Centre of Excellence is a common ground which welcomes many members with parallel and complementary projects. We are convinced that our adhesion will bring the creation of various realisations.” The company counts five employees and represents the first company in the region of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean to possess a Special Flight Operation Certificate (SFOC) to operate across the province of Quebec. UAV Technology
UAV Technology is a young company specializing in aerial unmanned aerial system imaging. Located in Quebec City, UAV Technology offers preventive and building inspection services for industrial maintenance and development. According to its president, Frédérick Duval, joining UAS CE represents an important platform to facilitate the access to an international network of partners with whom they can work for the development of the company. Duval explains: “UAV Technology joins a very limited number of companies in Quebec to provide building inspections services using unmanned aerial systems. The adhesion of these two companies brings to eighteen (18) the number of members constituting UAS CE. The president of the Centre, Pascal Pilote, comments that he can only be delighted: “We have surpassed our strategic objectives. Including Hovercam-media and UAV Technology, UAS CE has acquired five more members than last year. Each new member brings a diversification to the expertise of UAS CE, which constitutes the essence of our mission.” Pilote adds that many projects are being implemented and new initiatives should be announced within the next few months.
